Federal Signal: PA300-CN

FS PA300-CN Siren

Federal Signal Introduces A New Siren/Lighting Controller For Law Enforcement New PA300-CN controller combines full-feature functionality, operational flexibility and simplified programmability with streamlined installation at an economical price. University Park, Ill, June 26, 2012: Federal Signal’s Safety and Security Group, a leading source of audio and visual products for first responders, introduces the PA300-CN siren and light controller. The PA300-CN is a versatile siren and light controller for law enforcement agencies that is easy to install and affordably priced.

The PA300-CN controller showcases the most recognized control head in the law enforcement applications—the SmartSiren® Platinum controller. The rugged, fully programmable control head, which comes equipped with a noise-canceling microphone, provides seventeen rubberized pushbuttons and a four-position slide control switch for optimum user convenience. Beyond the standard tones (Wail, Yelp, Priority, Air Horn and Manual) of a 100/200-watt electronic siren amplifier, the PA300-CN spotlights additional features such as a horn ring transfer, radio rebroadcast and public address with volume control.

In a departure from traditional wired systems, the PA300-CN takes advantage of Federal Signal’s Convergence Network serial communications technology to streamline both installation and programming. Used in conjunction with the FS Convergence Network, the “plug-n-play” serial ports support connection between the siren’s remote control head and all compatible lightbars and internal lighting systems. A relay module employing two 10-amp and two 15-amp outputs enables installers to readily connect discrete-wired lights and other equipment to the FS Convergence Network.

The PA300-CN controller meets Class A (CAC) and SAE J1849 recommendations for sound output. A three-year parts and one-year factory labor warranty is standard.
