Ocala, FL, (April 19, 2007) – E-ONE unveiled its new Quest™ custom chassis early Thursday morning to a select group of customers, media representatives, and Federal Signal board members at an exclusive pre-FDIC event.

As the canvas was pulled back from the new chassis, the expansive windshield, tear-drop mirrors and redesigned front grill revealed the distinctive characteristics of the new Quest custom chassis.

With more than 300 voice of the customer design suggestions and over two years of development, it’s clear the E-ONE Quest was designed with firefighters in mind – industry leading ergonomic step design, 100% improvement of swept windshield area, and added interior cab space.

The driver side instrument cluster provides excellent visibility through the steering wheel and oversized characters provide a quick read for the driver with minimal distraction.  An Integrated Siren System provides an easy to reach siren control for both the driver and the officer.

The officer-side workspace features an impressive amount of leg room and has a mounting area for customer-specified accessories.

With an expansive 3,728 square inches of windshield, no other chassis on the market can match the visibility of the E-ONE Quest.

To ease and assist in quick entry and exit, the E-ONE Quest incorporates a staggered three-step system.  The first step is 21” from the ground, the second is 11” up and the cab floor is 9” over the second.

Many more standard features such as heated mirrors, steering wheel controls, power window and locks, touch-pad locks, power brakes and accelerator pedals, and an advanced braking system make the new E-ONE Quest custom chassis a must see at the 2007 FDIC.
